Step 1
First, create a new base in Airtable and create the following fields. Name (Text), Sales Stage (Single Select), Expected Value (Currency).Next go ahead and add some Stages as options within the single select field for example, Negociation, Contract and Deal won.Now add some dummy data making sure to have one record representing each Deal Stage.
Next, click the arrow next to ‘Grid’ in the top left and Add a New ‘Grid View’. Rename it ‘Deals Won’.
Add a filter to this view, Where the ‘Sales Stage’ is ‘Closed’ or ‘Won’ (or similar depending on how you chose to name your Deal Stages).
Step 2
Open Zapier. Select ‘Create New Zap’ and name it ‘New Deal Notifications’.
Select Airtable as the app and New Record in View as the Trigger Event.
Connect your Airtable account and press continue. Connect your Base and the correct Table.
Next select the ‘Deals Won’ view.
Press Test and Continue.
Now connect Gmail as the next step in the Zap and select Send Email.
Connect your Gmail account.
Once connected, enter an email address for the person you want to receive the notification and in the Body, using the button on the right of the input field, map the Deal values into the Body from the previous Airtable step.
Press continue and Test and Continue.
Step 3 (optional)
Create an account with Twilio and enable the ability to send SMS messages.
Add a new step to the Zap choosing Twilio as the App and select send SMS as the Action.
Connect your Twilio account using the API key found in Twilio and press continue.
In the From field, select a Twillio phone number (if you don’t have one you’ll need to choose one from inside Twillio) then enter a mobile numebr in the ‘To’ field.
For the message field, write a short message containing key values from the Airtbale step in a simiar fashion to the previous Gmail step.Leave the Media URL blank and press continue.
Test and continue to check it makes it through to your phone.
