Jordan Mykkeby

The Makerpad No Code Fundamentals Course opened up a whole new world to me. I’m a complete beginner, but in five weeks, I learned to use no code tools to create websites, streamline my business with automations, and I even built an app! I have the confidence now to build and test even more ideas on my own. Thank you to Ben, Amie, and the entire cohort for the encouragement, accountability, and fun!

Julie Mosow

🤯🤯🤯 - Me after every session. I can't recommend this class enough. I had a basic knowledge of no-code going into it and now feel pretty confident in building out a full platform...in less than a week. The possibilities are endless. Also, the community and shared knowledge that was created is priceless.

What our students say

In this course, I’ve gone from timidly curious about no-code with several projects on the back burner, to confidently testing tools, building, and creating things I’ve talked about and tinkered with for months or years. The Makerpad team and community are lovely people and provide a fun, supportive learning environment. This experience has already awesomely impacted my career.

Tim Falls

Love this course. I finally feel confident navigating the no-code landscape, after getting exposed to a lot more tools than I would have been able to explore on my own in a similar timeframe. I’ve learnt a lot by working through my own assignments and seeing what the rest of the cohort is building. It’s also just really fun.

Inga Schulte-Bahrenberg

Do yourself a favor, be ready for the future of tech by joining Makerpad. Whether you are an entrepreneur trying to automate your business, a designer longing to create an app or website without hiring pricy developers, or someone looking to launch a side hustle, Makerpad gives you a head start and makes it fun. I loved everything about this course and I’ve already had 20yrs in the industry.

Suzanne Reeves

The Markerpad Cohort is a great way to get exposed to the growing no-code landscape and turn your ideas into functioning products. You'll get comfortable with the available tools and build 5 products over 5-weeks. The bonus is learning directly from Ben and Amie while building alongside other members of the cohort. It's amazing to see what can be built with no-code, even in a day!

Steve Luu

As someone who did not know much about technology, the Makerpad Cohort was an exceptional forum to learn about tools and solutions for a business I am trying to build. The sessions run by Ben and Amie were fantastic with the assignments giving us hands-on experience on building/testing various tools out. The interaction amongst the cohort was amazing with folks sharing best practices which helped bring everyone's game up. I am confident in my ability to use the learnings from the course to build out an MVP for the business idea I have been working on. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who doesn't know much about coding but yet wants to build software solutions for an idea they might have.

This course has FAR surpassed its value—I feel like I’ve finally found my people! The TRUE value comes from what you learn. You can get a working application up and running in a fraction of the time and cost of a fully developed site with custom code, and gain a solid foundation in knowing which tools to use and how to build your ideas. This is my first time being part of a cohort and I really like the collaborative format a lot more than a regular online class. I didn’t expect to make any friends from an online course but they've been fantastic.

Format

A blend of session styles spread over 5 weeks of learning and building.
1

Learn-and-build

Twice-weekly your instructors will introduce a new area of the curriculum, guiding you through the foundations before you and your course mates engage in a taught live-build. The sessions are interactive and collaborative, with plenty of time for questions and feedback.

2

Co-working sessions

You'll get to hang out in the newly-built Makerpad virtual world, where you can connect with your instructors and course mates, and explore helpful resources. The weekly feedback sessions will also take place here, where you'll be able to give and get feedback, see what others are building, collaborate, and learn together.

3

Office hours

Office hours are your chance to connect with your instructors in a more one-to-one way. You'll get specific feedback on what you're building, answers to any questions, and tips to make your build even better.

4

Demo days

Demo days are created for students to present what they've built to the class — either main projects built during the course, or smaller side projects. Students are all required to give feedback on each other's work, which makes demo days a time for real growth and change.

5

For fun

Happy hour Fridays, 5-minute challenges, a private Slack channel for hangouts, and more.

Curriculum

Navigating the tools marketplace

New no-code tools are built and launched almost daily, and knowing what tool you need for your use case can be overwhelmingly tough, especially if you're new to no-code. We'll guide you through understanding what you need (and what you don't), the best tools and how they differ, and tips to help you avoid adding too many tools to your workflow.

Identifying projects, ideas and opportunities

Often, people find themselves in a "chicken and egg" situation — you feel like you can't start building an idea without knowing no-code, and you don't feel like you can learn no-code without having an idea to build. Sometimes, the endless possibilities of no-code alone can feel overwhelming! In this course, you'll not only learn no-code, you'll see first-hand how ideas are born, and how to start building even if you don't have a solid idea yet.

The foundation of no-coding

When you pare it back, the core of no-code is simpler than you might think. Once you understand these building blocks and how they work, you'll learn that almost anything is possible. With the fundamentals under your belt, you'll just need to weave in your creative ideas to start building out your first no-code project.

Learn through active building

What's great about this course is it's a cohort — you'll be learning right alongside other students. This, together with the taught elements of the course, will double-down on your learning potential. You won't just learn what your instructors are teaching you; you and your course mates will watch, inspire and feedback to each other along the way.

By the end of this course you'll be able to...

✅ Take your business, website or app idea and get it up and running fast

✅ Confidently choose the right no-code tools for you depending on what you need to get done

✅ Identify what slows you down when shipping an idea, and overcome these blockers

✅ Build a mobile app, an online marketplace, a directory site, a one-page site, and a membership-based business — all with speed and without any coding knowledge

✅ Make your app or business run 'on auto pilot' by connecting tools and software together

No matter if you have already worked with no code tools before or you’re completely new to the game, Makerpad’s Cohort is a fantastic entry into the no-code world. The best thing is you not only get together with people from the most various industries but you also enter a community of like-minded peers who are just as supportive as the hosts themselves. Highly energising, fast-paced (in a good way) and definitely the most well-prepared course I’ve done so far.

Michele Drabiniok

This was an incredible experience. It gave me a great understanding of the NoCode landscape and what tools are out there and when to use them. It was the excuse that I needed to really get my hands dirty with all the different technologies. The biggest upside was the incredible group of like-minded people and builders that never hesitated to share ideas and help. Can’t recommend this course enough.

Greg Smith

The No-Code Fundamentals Cohort Course gives you everything you need to level up your no-code skills. Amie & Ben are expert instructors, which is no surprise if you've been through Makerpad's excellent tutorials. Working with your cohort mates really takes it to the next level though — community is the best way to learn something new!

Pejman Pour-Moezzi

I joined the Makerpad #nocode cohort because I wanted to learn from the very best. Ben, Amie, and the larger team meet that standard through content, community, and life-changing education. So grateful for their investment in the future of the internet.
