Why We're Looking For You

Our newly-formed marketing team is ready to add a marketing operations guru to our team. We’re looking for someone to own and optimize our marketing technology portfolio, including the selection, implementation, integration, maintenance and adoption of technology. You will play a pivotal role in helping Retool deliver next-level customer experiences by delivering personalized and timely messaging that leads to action. On top of that, you’ll develop a deep understanding for how Retool operates to identify areas where technology and systems can offer an outsized benefit.

What You'll Do

You'll be the mastermind behind our marketing operations strategy and own the day-to-day management of a number of things. You'll own the implementation and maintenance of our entire marketing stack (currently Segment, Google Analytics, Amplitude,, Clearbit, Contentful, and Salesforce. Phew.). From email automation to pixel-perfect HTML/CSS-formatted emails and landing pages, you'll drive key outcomes for the marketing team. You'll also lead the charge on our customer lifecycle methodology, while maintaining consistency across our technology stack. There will be a need for documentation along the way as well and end-to-end monitoring of our marketing tech stack to ensure that no customer gets left behind.

The Skillset You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a comparable role at a SaaS company
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems (, with a strong understanding of downstream integration with CRM(Salesforce), plus your favorite marketing tools — we want you to own this stack!
  • Proficiency in data analysis/visualization tools(e.g. Google Analytics, Looker, Mode, SQL)
  • Ability and desire to navigate the ambiguity that comes from a small startup team of 30!
