Give people superpowers
The aha! moment when you first create something meaningful with code is a one of a kind feeling, and to someone who's never experienced it before, almost indescribable. At Parabola, we give that feeling to everyone whether or not they have a background in software engineering.
Parabola is closing the productivity inequality gap with a drag-and-drop, visual programming platform. We're starting with knowledge workers (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) and empowering them to increase their productivity leverage and become self-sufficient without having to learn how to code.
Our users consistently describe Parabola as their new superpower that makes them feel empowered to solve any problem that comes their way.
Make a huge impact
You’ll be joining Parabola as one of our first 10 employees. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow with the company, scaling both your skills and experience as Parabola doubles down on our explosive growth.
We're looking for a strong systems and conceptual thinker who is excited to work closely with the CEO, design, and product management team to shape Parabola's product roadmap and help us build a delightful, empowering product.
This is a particularly exciting time at Parabola. We simultaneously have an extremely passionate and growing user base, phenomenal investors who have just provided us with the capital to grow quickly, a substantial amount of low hanging fruit, and an ability to own the distribution for a new tool in a new category that the world critically needs. If you’re excited about both building a world-class design team and helping us deliver increasingly powerful, but simple, features to use, we want to talk to you!
What we're looking for
Parabola is a highly product and design centric company, and we rely on our product and design team to help drive the deep emotional connection our users have with us. Core to our mission is taking highly technical concepts and capabilities (e.g. a programming language, IDE, deployment process, etc.) and abstracting them away so that anyone can easily take full advantage of our product. This isn't an easy task – we need someone who is excited about the challenge of giving users the power to design complex logic visually. While we've made great strides here, we're still early. This role will help us lead the way in defining new visual coding paradigms.
We're looking for a product design lead who can help us develop a design language that is simple but capable of capturing the power our product can offer and also hire and manage a team as we continue to scale quickly.

Said differently, we're excited about where you're coming from but much more excited about where you're heading.
At Parabola, we are solving hard and unique engineering challenges as we architect the visual programming language for the world. From an engineering mindset, Parabola is a programming language, IDE, deployment process, serverless compute environment, and cron job all bundled into one approachable drag-and-drop tool. To make this work, we've had to build out a solid foundation. Yet, we’re still early. As we continue to grow, there are many more product, infrastructure, logic, and design challenges to solve.
If you’re excited by solving these types of challenges and want to have a massive impact on team and technology, we want to talk to you!
A great week would be...

As our first product hire, you will be reporting directly to the founders and working with us to drive the evolution of a passionately-loved, incredibly complex product. We’re designing what amounts to a brand new end-user-friendly programming language, along with tools to host, debug, and monitor apps. Your job will be to help us manage this complexity by talking to our users, prioritizing their many needs, inventing creative solutions, and helping us drive them through to execution.

● Ensure overall product quality and proactively identify product weaknesses
● Generate product improvement ideas in response to our users’ needs
● Work with founders, growth team, and customer success team to set product priorities

● Lead project management for large product initiatives

● 2 - 5 years experience in product management

If this sounds like you, please apply below with your resume and anything else you think we ought to know about you. This is a full-time position and based in Manhattan, New York. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
For 95% of programming jobs, the primary focus is on using abstractions. For instance, using React JS to build a responsive web portal, or hammering out an API in Express or Rocket. They are about taking ways of seeing the world that others have invented, and applying them to the task at hand, with craftsmanship and skill.
We value and respect this work, and our jobs involve a fair share of it, but we are looking for engineers who get up in the morning for the other 5%.
We want the abstraction creators: the engineers who are more excited about the technology that doesn’t exist yet than the technology that does.
We want people who are dreaming about creating new programming languages or operating system kernels, or even just small NPM packages with APIs that better reflect the problem space than prior abstractions.
We need this because the business Bubble is in is taking common patterns for constructing software, and capturing those patterns in repeatable technology, so that they become accessible and intuitive via our visual language. We are in the business of figuring out how to let our users express what they want to create as simply and directly as possible, and then solving the hard problems of taking what they express and running it performantly, scalably, and securely in the cloud.
Because we are hiring programmers to design and implement a new language, we don't have any hard requirements about what technologies you need to know coming in, or what professional experiences you need to have on your resume. Familiarity with our stack is helpful:
● AWS
● Postgres
● Redis
● Node
● Coffee-Script
● ES6
...but we are open to people learning on the job.
What we look for is a passion and gift for understanding and designing abstractions. That generally corresponds with an intense intellectual curiosity, both within technology and outside of technology, and a deep humility about how much there is to learn and how little we actually know.
We do think that years of experience writing code is a must, but we are open to people at all places in their careers. We're willing to hire new college grads who honed their skills on passion projects, as well as people with a decade of industry experience looking for the next challenge. We are currently only looking for people who want to be hands on writing code, but we value leadership experience or aspirations, since we anticipate that as Bubble's rapid growth continues, we will build out a world-class engineering team and will need people willing to take on leadership responsibilities as well as people who want to specialize as deep technical experts.
In addition to creating better abstractions, the other pole of Bubble's business is helping our users solve their problems. Our users build everything from personal side projects to VC-backed startups. We are often a critical part of our customers’ operations. As a Bubble engineer, you get a direct feedback loop with customers: our community is incredibly vocal, and whenever we announce a release on our community forum, it always sparks feedback and engagement, and often celebration.
So, the other thing we look for and value in our hiring process is people who love to ship code and see it impact people's lives. We live in a dynamic tension between passionate love for technology in its pure form, and pragmatic caring for the end product. That tension is our secret sauce: the constant back-and-forth between solving the customer problem, and designing the right long-term solution is what's led to a product that people tell us literally changed their lives (read our recent fundraising announcement, and our community's reaction to it).
We think Bubble is amazing, but we also think we have an incredibly long way to go. Our aim is huge: we are trying to replace the entire traditional engineering stack. As such, we think that we are going to continually build and rebuild our systems as we scale up: we have a limitless well of engineering challenges ahead of us to create the platform we envision. If you are passionate about creating technological leverage for people, and the idea of an early-but-growing startup whose main obstacle to success is our ability to solve hard engineering problems is exciting, we look forward to hearing from you!
Bubble empowers founders to build their startups without the need of a technical team. On Bubble, they can launch their product faster for a fraction of the cost. Startups launched on Bubble have achieved product market fit, got into incubators such as Y Combinator, and raised multi-million dollar rounds. One of the key aspects of our strategy is to integrate with third party services: we're building an ecosystem of plugins so that our users can always leverage the best options while building on top of Bubble.
We're hiring a Plugin Engineer to help extend our integrations to improve Bubble's functionality and build partnerships with other tech companies and startups. While most of our plugins are built by our community, we see a big opportunity for Bubble to proactively build state-of-the-art plugins. As a Plugin Engineer, you will work with our Customer Success and Growth teams to find gaps in our plugin marketplace, identify partnerships and growth opportunities with other tools and build the integrations. Among the different systems we want to integrate with are Airtable, Coda and Zapier. You'll extend the Bubble core library with new elements and actions to let our users build better user experiences for their own users.
● Has 0 to 2 years of front-end programming experience with common frameworks
● Is comfortable working with REST APIs
● Is familiar with specific technologies of our stack: Javascript, HTML / CSS, jQuery
● Is an excellent technical communicator, and is comfortable producing content and documentation for the different plugins and extensions
● Has built and shipped code used by other people and enjoys seeing the impact of their work
Additionally, while not required, we appreciate it if you know how to use Bubble, as it’ll be one of your primary tools at work!
● Opportunity for impact: we have an open, direct team culture: leadership discusses initiatives, issues, and plans openly, and enjoys being challenged on their thinking. Our product has a ton of surface area, so there’s an unlimited amount of room to improve things.
● We move fast: we are product-led and are focused on execution in the day-to-day. This means no endless meetings on strategy and execution. If we disagree about a feature direction, we'll default to trying it out in a quick, low-risk way.

● Equity: we offer equity in addition to your compensation. Our goal is to build a company that will still be here in 20 years, and we want you to have a stake in that future
● 401K: We have a 401K program.
● Benefits: we offer excellent medical, dental and vision coverage as well as membership for concierge primary care though One Medical.

Imagine a product that reached over a million users without a single salesperson. That same product has been adopted by tens of thousands of teams, with limitless growth potential ahead. That's the opportunity at Notion — an infinite market, a large and highly engaged customer base, and the chance to help build Notion's sales engine from the ground up.
We make tools to amplify people's minds and businesses.
Humans are toolmakers by nature, but most of us don't have the skills to modify the software that we depend on every day. We run our work and lives across too many apps, and too few of them work the way we wish they did. Notion challenges this status quo by giving everyone the building blocks of productivity — notes, docs, tasks, databases — and the flexibility to combine them in new, creative ways.
We believe that by equipping people with the best tools to solve their own problems, we can tackle the whole world's problems. ✌️
We're a small band of design, history and art nerds based in San Francisco. We work out of a sunny converted garage in the Mission that looks a lot like the software we build.
The best way to understand Notion is to play with the product: www.notion.so.
Or, read the story behind the product: www.notion.so/about
We've heard Notion described many ways. It can be as simple as a blank piece of paper, making writing feel light and delightful. It can be as complex as a relational database that stores huge amounts of data. We sometimes compare it to a set of Legos (if Legos were designed by The New York Times). But at its core, Notion is a toolbox of software building blocks that let you manage your life and work however you find most useful.

You'll help customers with account and billing issues, answer questions about Webflow, and provide valuable customer feedback to other departments.
Other duties may revolve around helping customers with complex issues and questions. This can include troubleshooting issues reported by customers, creating internal bug reports and enhancement requests, and working with our Engineers and Product Managers to ensure we answer technical inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
As a valued member of Webflow, your advocacy for our customers will drive new features and enhancements that our community needs. You’ll be supported and empowered to make decisions with autonomy for our customer base, and work closely with your team and manager to find areas of improvement within our product and services.
At Webflow, we take pride in promoting and maintaining work life balance. We are open to differing and flexible schedules/work hours.
Working remotely as a member of a distributed team can be a challenge. We are seeking those up for the challenge! Challenges include limited social interaction, communication hurdles, managing distractions, and working across timezones. Other requirements include:
Build a Webflow site telling us why you want to work at Webflow, and why we should hire you, and submit your application .
Please include a link to your resume/CV and be ready to provide previous references upon interview!
Join us on our mission to help the best products win.
It's often said that:
The best products don't win, the ones with the best distribution do.
We're doing something about that. Blanket gives the best products an unfair advantage by giving them access to the best distribution.
The first problem we're solving on our way to fulfill that mission is to automate the Sales Development process. That's prospecting, reaching out, crafting collateral, and booking sales demos.
Your
We're looking for teammates that need to see their work have an immediate impact, and enjoy fast-paced and high-growth environments. Join us and play a crucial part in building a platform that some of the most respected companies will use to increase their sales.
---
You’ll be working closely with me (Head of Operations), Anthony (PM), and our engineering team to debug, test, and implement new internal features.
Things you might do on any given Tuesday at Blanket:
- Implement and maintain our operational stack (e.g. Periscope, HubSpot, Salesforce, [Customer.io](http://customer.io/), Segment, Zapier, and more) and other relevant integrations between them.
- Research, select, implement and integrate new best-of-breed tools covering different areas.
- Set up and maintain reliable tracking throughout the lead lifecycle.
- Build, enrich and maintain a highly accurate lead database and manage the processes and tools integrated to it.
- Provide reliable dashboards and reports to track sales qualified leads performance as they move through the funnel
- Design and measure segmented nurturing journeys and scoring workflows.
In short: manage marketing stack, database, and analytics.
- 2+ years of working with a data-informed Sales, Growth or Marketing team
There are other requirements that I could list here, but the reality is that they'll differ depending on your specific background (Growth, Sales, Marketing). We expect you to lean into your strong suits and effectively communicate what skills you lack as you simultaneously get better at them.
Please point out what you consider your strengths are and why you think they're *required* for this position when you reach out.
- Experience working remotely
- Experience setting up integrations with Zapier
- Experience in working with Segment and data visualization tools like Periscope
- Experience setting up tracking and attribution for a B2B company
We’re building a teammate-centric and remote-first company that recruits the best talent regardless of location, background, or gender.

About Us
Holloway is a new publishing and technology company in San Francisco that publishes comprehensive, practical Guides researched, written, and refined by experts. Our first Guide, The Holloway Guide to Equity Compensation, is now one of the most trusted resources on the web for navigating the swamp of challenges related to equity-based compensation.
We’re a six-person team with deep experience in writing, machine learning, and search that believes we can create a world where access to existing knowledge isn't a barrier to making progress in our careers.
What we're looking for
Holloway is looking for a Managing Editor to lead a unique public (free) content creation effort. Beginning in July, we will launch our first paid product, The Holloway Guide to Raising Venture Capital. This Guide will be the first of many paid Guides. To reach each Guide’s intended audience, we will create and publish public content that aligned with these audiences on a regular schedule (see our post on product-market fit for an example). This role is at the intersection of editorial and marketing. We want to make it clear that the editorial quality bar for what we will produce is far higher than that of 99% of what most people consider to be content marketing. Every piece we publish needs to be considered by far and above the best thing ever published on the subject.
The Holloway Story
Holloway started with two people: Andy Sparks and Josh Levy. Andy left his last company fascinated by one question, "What are all the questions Google doesn't provide a good answer for?" Josh, inspired by Doug Engelbart's theory of "intelligence augmentation (or IA)" not "artificial intelligence (AI)" wanted to create a place to share and collaborate on deeply practical knowledge. The two got together in early 2017 with a shared commitment to spend at least ten years working on creating a company that would make it easy for everyone to find the best knowledge, you know, the stuff the top 1% of people in a field know.
Many of the ideas for Holloway came from open source experiments Josh ran on GitHub from 2015-2016. First, he published The Art of the Command Line, which would go on to see more than 800K visitors. Second, he published The Open Guide to Equity Compensation, in the fall of 2015, a collaboration between Josh and several startup lawyers. Third, he published The Open Guide to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the summer of 2016. The latter two each saw hundreds of thousands of visitors to the GitHub README page and hundreds of contributors.
Andy, on the other hand, had just left a company he co-founded, Mattermark, had spent months researching the clean water industry, and kept finding the best knowledge on clean water wasn't showing up in Google searches, but instead through conversations with venture capitalists he knew from Mattermark. What if the knowledge these experts knew was widely available? What would the world look like then? To test whether people would care, he began exploring publishing collections of knowledge on specific subjects for others to learn from such as "Everything You Should Know About CRISPR—And Where to Learn More."
Shortly thereafter, a mutual friend put two and two together and introduced Andy and Josh. The two spent months learning about each other and reconciling their differing ideas, and decided to join forces in February of 2017
At Airtable, we are passionate about how our product democratizes software creation and empowers anyone to “create anything.” Building a remarkable team is a top-level company priority as we go execute on this vision, and we need a world-class recruiting function to make it happen! This is a unique opportunity to be part of the founding talent team. You'll be empowered to build interview process and to be the champion of candidate experience as we build a world-class recruiting practice.
Airtable's mission is to democratize software creation. We believe that software stands to be the single most impactful way anyone can bring their ideas to life, yet that few people can actually access it as a creative medium. Airtable enables everyone to experience the power of creating, not just using, software.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Airtable has raised $170M in venture funding to date, most recently a $100M Series C from Benchmark, Thrive, and Coatue.
Airtable's unique approach to enabling end-user software creation has struck a chord with users across many industries and use cases. Our accelerating present and future growth, coupled with our ambitious product surface area, brings many challenges. Data engineering can play a critical role in understanding how people use the open-ended toolkit that Airtable offers, thereby enabling our team to improve users' experience and accelerate their rate of success.
As one of the first data engineers at Airtable, you'll make an enormous contribution to our burgeoning data engineering efforts. You'll design and build systems that will enable analytics, experimentation, and user-facing features.
Airtable's mission is to democratize software creation, similar to the way the Macintosh democratized personal computing. Software is arguably the most important creative medium of the last century, yet most people cannot build their own software. Airtable gives people and companies a “lego kit” they can use to create custom applications on their own, regardless of technical experience.
We’ve raised $170M in venture funding, including most recently a 100M Series C from Benchmark, Thrive, and Coatue.
As a Business Development Representative on the Airtable team, your role will be to dramatically increase our footprint beyond the 30,000+ organizations that already use (and love!) our product.
We're looking for someone who is excited to pitch the vision of Airtable, helping our diverse market base envision and realize deep value from our platform. You'll identify new, strategic opportunities across the entire customer journey and ideate, test and optimize the best practices that unlock them.
Airtable is an atypical company — we're creating the largest opportunity in the history of enterprise software — and this is an atypical sales role. If you love talking to customers and want to take an active role in building something great, we want to hear from you.

Work closely with our designers to implement the app 'builder' environment and the UI components that make up Glide apps themselves. Help us create delightful software that creates delightful software.
Glide is implemented with TypeScript. We have a custom component system that implements a reactive computation model similar to spreadsheets, that currently has React and React Native bindings so that apps run in the browser and natively on iOS and Android.
We use GitHub for code collaboration, have integration tests in place, and use GitHub flow & CI to automate deployments from branches across staging and production environments.
We are a world-class product team committed to helping a billion people become software developers by creating better tools for them. We’ve worked at startups of all stages and at large corporations. We have decades of experience in product design, compilers, mobile platforms, and developer tools.
We're also veterans of open source—two of us were key members of the Ubuntu team at Canonical, and we've created many other successful open source projects.
As founders, we are passionate about helping our colleagues flourish. We are still small, so our culture is something you will help shape. We are committed to creating a diverse & inclusive workplace.
We are so excited to work with you!
For the past 20 years, we've been passive marketers with a little m.
We speak at conferences and on podcasts, we write books (REWORK, REMOTE, It Doesn't Have to be Crazy at Work), we share our point of view on thousands of blog posts, we invented a framework (Ruby on Rails) that changed an industry, and we make products that redefine their categories (Basecamp, Highrise, etc.). And right now we're working on something new that's going to surprise people.
We've gotten by on strength of product, cult of personality, a unique point of view, running against the wind, and incredibly generous word-of-mouth promotion from our customers. We're fortunate it's been working. 20 profitable years in business is the proof. We're naturally proud of that.
But we feel like we've begun to saturate our natural sphere of influence, our current reach. Passive marketing can only get us so far, and we have a desire to go further. Today, if we're in the mix, it's by chance, not choice. And because of that, we feel a bit invisible outside of those who know us already.
And it's no surprise: We haven't really advertised. Or made it easy for new people to find us online. Lately we haven't explained our brand particularly well. Or thought much about how we're perceived in the modern market. We don't show up in places where potential customers hang out, and we haven't gone far enough supporting and sponsoring events and like-minded organizations. Basically, we've never deliberately focused on actively getting the word out, making sure our brand is positioned properly in the market, or meeting customers where they are.
We lack a Marketing strategy with a capital M. It's time to change that.
Moving forward, we want to be intentional about creating awareness (how do we introduce Basecamp to people who don't know us?), prompting consideration (how do we get people who need a product like ours to consider us for purchase?), and driving conversion (how do we get people who are considering Basecamp to sign up, pay us, and start using our products?).
So, for the first time, we're ready to hire someone to lead that charge and own that responsibility. We're looking for our first Head of Marketing.
How's that challenge sound to you?
ABOUT THE JOB AND THE WORK
Fundamentally, this job is about developing and executing a broad strategy to bring more people to the front of the funnel by increasing awareness and interest outside of what we've already built. We're not looking for somebody to spend time on email drip campaigns or improving onboarding. While important, this role is much broader than that. This also isn't a job for self-described growth hackers.
This is a role for someone who knows how to mix a wild idea with a practical pitch. Someone who's eager (but not annoyingly so) to pick up the phone and negotiate a major partnership deal. Someone who has an eye for talent, a nose for bullshit, ears close to the ground, and the creative mind of a conductor. Someone who's previously managed large spends and helped a brand transition through a similar process. Someone who recognizes an opportunity when they see one, but knows how to steer clear of high effort low reward mirages. You see things other people miss, and you know how to put leverage to good use.
And while we'll support your strategy with a multimillion dollar budget and creative support from the CEO, you'll start this process without a dedicated internal team. While we have designers, writers, and a data analyst occasionally available to assist, we don't have a marketing department or spare staff focused on everything you'll need to get done. This means you'll initially be expected to identify, vet, choose, and manage external vendors or agencies to help pull off your plan. Building an in-house team is something we'll discuss down the road.
While some may see this as a disadvantage, we think it's a big opportunity. You'll be able to pull in the best agencies, freelancers, shops, and creative specialists to help pull off the plan. You'll bring us creative ideas we've never considered in the past. You'll challenge our thinking and help us see ourselves in a new light.
In addition to big picture strategy, you'll focus on practical day-to-day work like fielding sponsorship opportunities that come our way. Keeping an eye on analytics. Reaching out to groups, organizations, movements, events, and other brands we should be partnering with. You'll also be expected to regularly detail progress, setbacks, and marketing insights for the whole company.
We're aware that at many companies, this is a multi-person position. Someone focused on the marketing strategy. Someone else focused on brand. Someone else focused on partnerships and sponsorships. And so on. We're not expecting a herculean marketing turnaround with a single person at the start, but we absolutely believe the right person can point us in the right direction, guide us, come up with campaigns, be resourceful enough to get them produced, manage the process, study the results, course correct, revamp, and try more things. We know someone has to own this, or we'll end up where we are today.
Bottom-line, this is an impact position. In time, the business should look better with you on board. A clear case of before and after. You'll help us be noticed, be seen, and be found. We should also feel better about ourselves with you around. This is a big responsibility and we are here to support you, cheer you on, and make it happen. We've talked about having someone like you on board for years, and now we're finally ready.
ABOUT YOU
You've done this before. You can't wait to do it again. You absolutely want to do it for us.
We value people who can take a stand yet commit even when they disagree. We'll often subject ideas to rigorous debate, so you'll need to stand up for what you believe, but we remember that we’re here for the same purpose: to do good work together. Charging the trust battery is part of the work.
Yes, you’ll need to learn how we work at Basecamp, but we’re also looking for someone to teach us how to work. And once we’ve figured that out, be able to share that story with the world. We should tell the story of how we changed our approach to marketing.
We're not looking for a superhero who thinks sheer hours = good work. Excess doesn't impress us - creativity and efficiency does. You'll have 8 hours a day to work, and, we hope, at least 8 hours a night to sleep. What you do with the other 8 is up to you, never to us. You'll report directly to the CEO.
ABOUT OUR PAY AND BENEFITS
The salary for this position is $181,000. You can read about how we set salaries here.
Our benefits are all aimed at supporting a life well lived away from work. None are about trapping people at the office or cajoling them into endless overtime. Just the opposite. We’re all about reasonable working hours, ample vacation time, summer hours, fitness, wellness, food, education, and charity. See the full list.
Basecamp is a remote-work company so you can be anywhere, but you’ll need at least 4 hours of overlap with Chicago time in your normal work-day routine.
We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. Each new hire is an opportunity for us to bring in a different perspective, and we are always eager to further diversify our company. Basecamp is committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send an application tailored to this position. Introduce yourself as a colleague. Show us that future.
We want to get a sense of how you think. To that end, please use your cover letter to share with us your take on the following questions:
We value great writers, so take your time with the application. Keep in mind that we do not equate length with substance, so please keep your cover letter to fewer than 1500 words. Stock cover letters won't do - tell us why you want this job, not just any job.
Go for it!
We are accepting applications for this position until June 28th, 2019. We’ll let you know that we’ve received your application. After that, you probably shouldn’t expect to hear back from us until after the application deadline has passed. We want to give everyone a fair chance to apply and be evaluated.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hi there!
We're looking for an experienced, collaborative, data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join Zapier's marketing team. Zapier is on a mission to help everyone be more productive. Over 3 million professionals already use Zapier to save time at work, but there are millions more to reach and educate!
Working within the marketing team, the Email Marketing Specialist will set up and deploy email campaigns and lifecycle programs—from start to finish. You'll work closely with program managers, product marketers, and product managers to develop plans and strategies, targeting the appropriate user segments to achieve business goals. You'll also collaborate with internal teams of engineers, designers, and copywriters to create and test emails.
This position will require technical skills and strong attention to detail.
If you’re interested in launching your career at a fast-growing and profitable company, read on.
We know applying for and taking on a new job at any company requires a leap of faith. We want you to feel comfortable and excited to apply at Zapier. To help share a bit more about life at Zapier, here are a few resources in addition to the job description that can give you an inside look at what life is like at Zapier. Hopefully, you'll take the leap of faith and apply.
Zapier is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
We encourage you to apply if you meet these criteria:
You’re an experienced email marketer. You’ve been building and coding emails for 3+ years and are comfortable using HTML/CSS to build an email from scratch. This isn’t the first time you’ve worked with an ESP, CRM, or marketing automation platform to create complex lifecycle programs. (at Zapier, we use Iterable.)
Relationships with subscribers matter. Email subscribers are more than inboxes to send to, they’re people who you want to help build a strong relationship with Zapier. You think about how every email you send provides value to the reader and helps them succeed.
Have an exceptional eye for detail. You recognize that emails are unforgiving and a small error or typo can’t be fixed once you push send. Small things like the copy on a button can improve a user's experience and result in better engagement.
You’re a scientist at heart. Email effectiveness can ebb and flow and you’re not afraid to experiment with new ideas to achieve higher engagement. When you need to make a decision, you rely on data and back up your work with numbers, not just anecdotal evidence.
Well-written copy brings a smile to your face. You aim to help readers reach their goal with clear and concise copy, not perplexing prose.
You have an eye for design. You may not spend your days designing interfaces, graphics, or other assets, but you know when you look at elements of an email if there are changes that could improve the reader’s experience.
Process makes perfect. You’ll juggle a variety of fast-moving email projects. Email can make a big impact on user experience and our business metrics, and you’re keen to build processes that you and your team more effective over time.
You pride yourself on organization. Email onboarding flows, sending schedules, product copy style guides, and user journey maps—these items are music to your ears.
Email is something you geek out on. You love talking about new ways to build emails, performance metrics, and debating whether or not the fold exists in email. You also stay on top of email trends, best practices, and strategies.
For the past seven years, Zapier has been helping people across the world automate the boring and tedious parts of their job. We do that by helping everyone connect the web applications they already use and love.
We believe that there are jobs a computer is best at doing and that there are jobs a human is best at doing. We want to empower businesses to create processes and systems that let computers do what they are best at doing and let humans do what they are best at doing.
We believe that with the right tools, you can have big impact with less hassle.
We believe in small teams. Small teams are fast and nimble. Small teams mean less bureaucracy and less management and more getting things done.
We believe in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. All teammates at Zapier agree to a code of conduct.
Location: Anywhere
If you want to work remote, that's great. If you want to work near others, that's cool too. Our team of 200+ is distributed because it lets us work with the best people. You don't have to be located in the USA either. Some team members live in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Nigeria, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, Australia, and more! You just need the skills and drive to succeed in this role and the ability to work from anywhere.
Compensation:
*While we take care of our international folks as best we can, currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available to US-based employees.
We have a non-standard application process. To jump-start the process we ask a few questions we normally would ask at the start of an interview. This helps speed up the process and lets us get to know you a bit better right out of the gate. Please make sure to answer each question. After you apply, you are going to hear back from us, even if we don't seem like a good fit. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to make sure you never go more than seven days without hearing from us.
Optional: Share anonymously some demographic information about yourself to help us better track trends related to the backgrounds of candidates interested in working at Zapier in order for us to build a team that represents the users at Zapier and the broader world population.
Zapier is an equal opportunity employer. We're excited to work with talented and empathetic people no matter their race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, physical or mental disability, or age. Our code of conduct provides a beacon for the kind of company we strive to be, and we celebrate our differences because those differences are what allow us to make a product that serves a global user base.
We're looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the Growth Product team at Zapier. Zapier is on a mission to make everyone more productive at work. Over 3 million professionals already use Zapier to save more time, but there are millions more to reach. Interested in helping design and build a product that helps the world automate their work so they can get back to the things that matter? Then read on…

We hope you'll take the leap of faith and apply.
Zapier is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
About You
This isn't your first PM rodeo. You have 7+ years of product management experience. You have proven success at a large consumer internet company w/ 5M+ visitors a month, driven largely through SEO and paid strategies to accelerate traffic and user acquisition.
You’ve managed high-functioning product teams centered on growth initiatives. You’ve hired, developed, and directly managed five or more Product Managers at varying levels of experience. You’ve worked with product teams to define success metrics, build data-driven roadmaps and track progress towards solving customer problems.
You set the vision for your team and then make it happen. You can own a problem space and set an 18+ month roadmap for how you'll solve those problems. You know how to turn vision into goals, goals into a roadmap, and a roadmap into daily and weekly tasks for your team. You’re an evangelist for data-driven decision making. You have designed, implemented and executed on scalable processes that enable your teams to ship high-quality products quickly and efficiently.
You are efficient. You’re comfortable working at speed. You know how and when to make tradeoffs in features, speed, and staffing, and you have a good balance of the three, rather than always choosing one of these three things.
You know how to get results. Through collaboration with leaders in Marketing, Engineering, Design, and Support, you routinely deliver meaningful results for the business. You share and celebrate and build momentum around positive results. You learn and course correct when you don’t get the results you want.
You are data driven. You use data to uncover opportunities and understand what levers to pull to drive business results. You know how to measure the results of your work, test it with real users, and understand its downstream effects. You consider the long-term impacts of experiments and look for more than just short-term boost to metrics.
You have ample technical, design, and analytics skills. While you may or may not know how to code, you have technical skills to support yourself and your team. You use your technical context to make better, faster decisions and to minimize technical debt. You understand design patterns and can create functional specs and wireframes. You can write some SQL and use self-serve data exploration tools to support your own decision making. While you'll have resources on your team that are experts in these areas, you can fill in the gaps whenever needed.

Bonus points if:
Bubble empowers founders to build their startups without the need of a technical team. On Bubble, they can launch their product faster for a fraction of the cost. Startups launched on Bubble have achieved product market fit, got into incubators such as Y Combinator, and raised multi-million dollar rounds.
We’re hiring a Startup Evangelist to represent Bubble in the startup community, explain its value proposition and drive adoption among entrepreneurs.
In particular, you will
● Evangelize the benefits and advantages of using the Bubble platform across the startup community.
● Represent Bubble in meetups, startup events, conferences, school events, hackathons.
● Animate our community of users through meetups.
● Engage with our community and showcase their startups to drive engagement and excitement.
● Produce relevant content for our community of founders (blog posts, podcast episodes, etc.).
● Manage relationships with incubators and co-working spaces, both online and offline.
● Gather feedback from our community and report this back to the team to help improve our product, documentation and communication.
We’re looking for someone who has
● Strong interest in entrepreneurship and building products (and Bubble!).
● Ability to understand technical concepts (some codings skills are nice to have but not required).
● Very strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and convince people (you could spend 20 minutes riding the subway and end up with a stack of business cards).
● Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
● Strong taste for public speaking.
● Ability to act autonomously, self-manage, and deliver in a timely manner with relentless follow-through.
● Methodical and organized; ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects and priorities concurrently.
● Willingness to travel regularly.
● Previous experience at a startup is a strong plus.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow within the New York startup community (and beyond) and promote a product that is very much needed by rising entrepreneurs.
● Ownership: we manage the company against how happy our users are and how proud we are of what we are building, which means our work is never done. If you pitch something you think would dramatically improve our users’ lives and the team agrees, the response will almost certainly be: “great! Let’s give it a shot!”
Other perks include:
● Equity: we offer equity in addition to your compensation. Our goal is to build a company that will still be here in 20 years years, and we want you to have a stake in that future.
● 401K: we have a 401K program.
● Benefits: we offer excellent medical, dental and vision coverage as well as membership for concierge primary care though One Medical.
● Generous vacation: we have an unlimited vacation and sick-day policy.
