Hi everyone, my name is Emmett Armstrong, founder of Metronome Agency. I’ma young entrepreneur, and I’ve been working for myself for about 2 years (I LOVE working from home). Before setting out on my own, I worked for a business consulting company that worked with motion design studios in the entertainment industry.
My main no-code accomplishment is actually another one of my companies: OnRamp Data. OnRamp helps founders and salespeople generate and connect with relevant leads via cold email. I work mostly with motion design studios; creative owners & salespeople.
I actually bought OnRamp from it’s previous owner - the company was severely disorganized and losing clients fast. I used several no-code tools to implement better systems & routines to get the company back on track.

I use a tool called Snov.io to find names from LinkedIn and other sources. From there, they get imported into a larger database for sorting and list building.
The database of leads is managed in Insightly CRM. This was a much better solution than Excel! I have several custom workflows and tags that I’ve set up to make the software work for my purposes.
I use Smartreach.io to send out the email campaigns, and I have a Zapier integration between my client’s Gmail inbox and their Pipedrive CRM.
I’ve had a lot of success finding tools through the Zapier app directory! They have hundreds of tools listed, and it’s easy to find a variety of options. I probably spend about 2-3 hours evaluating tools before I choose to buy, and from there it takes another 5-10 hours to integrate into my process.
I’m excited about the no-code movement because I’ve always loved to customize things. Instead of writing custom code to “change a setting” you can simply integrate a third party tool! I love that there are so many free tools available to us.
The main limitations to no-code are companies who do not offer APIs for Zapier or other tools to hook in to. I wish I could change the landscape so that companies were less guarded, more willing to offer free (limited) plans or trials.
