For those who want to:
This tool path will look at one of the many ways to link your website, email list, Slack, and community together using automations. You will learn how to:
- Set up an email list that ensures email sign-ups are real people and not bots;
- Automatically tag new members in ConvertKit so you can promptly deliver emails on how to make the most out of the community;
- Ensure you don't miss conversations happening within your community.
It sounds like a lot, but with automated workflows, it's super easy!
This tool-path was built by our Creator in Residence, Sara Saunders.
There are plenty of tools available for creating a landing page, but if you're already using ConvertKit to manage your email list, it might make sense to use their landing page feature as well. In this video, Sara uses ConvertKit to set up a landing page and walks you through how to enable double opt-in to ensure your subscribers are actual people and not bots. Then she shows you how to re-direct users to your community home page after they have double-opted in to your community.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up an email sequence in ConvertKit that fires immediately when a member joins your community. Once the email sequence is set up, you will add an automation that fires the email sequence when a tag is added to a subscriber in ConvertKit.
This tutorial will teach you how to set up an automation in Zapier for when a new member is added to Circle. The first automation will add a tag to the member's email address in ConvertKit and will launch the email sequence you set up in the previous step. The second automation will send a Slack message to a designated channel so your team can promptly welcome new members to your community as they join.
Now that you have set up the workflows to handle getting people into your Circle community, let's explore notification settings in Circle so that you never miss a post or comment from your community. Then, we'll look at how to set up private spaces within Circle.
