In this tutorial I'll show you how you can supercharge your Trello boards with Butler automations.

What you'll need

  • A Trello Account
  • 10 minutes

Once you have some cards in a list, go ahead and open Butler in the top right of the screen.

Select Rules from the left menu and click Create Rule. As your Trigger select 'when a card is moved into list x by anyone' from the 'Move' menu.

As your Actions select 'add member @<choose member> to the card' and from the Content menu 'send an email notification to'. Set up an email to go to the person who would need to get involved at this point in the task.

Next choose Button from the left hand menu and Create a new Button. Next give your button the Title of 'Urgent Attention'. Add the action listed below, 'move the card to the top of the list' from the 'Move' menu. Then, select 'Add/remove' and then select ' add the red label to the card'. Next click 'Members' and then 'add member @<choose member> to the card'.

Press Save and then on the next screen check the box next to 'Enable on this board'.

Now each time the button Urgent Attention is press it will move it to the top of the list with a red label and a potential manager attached.

Super helpful and quick!
