In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to build a custom sales pipeline with multiple views using Airtable.
What you'll need
- Dummy customer data
First of all in Airtable create a new base. Give it a name and open it. Next right click and delete all coloumns apart from Name and Notes. Now add in the following columns with the corresponding field types.
- Sales Stage - Single Select
- Priority - Checkbox
- Expected Deal Date - Date
- Expected Value - Currency
- % Chance of Closing - Percentage
- Last Contacted - Date
- Completed Deal Value - Currency
Now let's input some data. Fill 1-6 rows with data which would represent sales bids that may occur in your business. Make sure you add tags which show the deals at different stages.
Click the arrow in the top left corner located next to the 'Grid View' text and create a new Kanban board view. This allows us to see a good visual of where each deal is at.
Click 'Customise Cards' from the top menu and add in the details you want to see on each card.
Finally, add a 'Calendar' view selecting the 'Expected Deal Date' as the date field.
Let's add a new table by clicking the plus sign next to the Sales Deals tab on the top of the screen, call it 'Sales Reps'.
Add the follow columns.
- Start Date - Date
- Target - Currency
- Notes - Text
Add a sales Rep and a target.
Now back inside the Sales Deals tab, add a new Reference Field column next to the Name column and link it to the Sales Rep page. Call it 'Rep'. Add the Rep to a deal. Notice the new column created in the Sales Rep table.
Add a new Roll Up column in the Sales Rep page, call it Done Deals Value and select Sales Deals from the first field drop down and 'Completed Deals Value' from the second. In the final field input =sum(values). This will give each sales rep a total of the deal closed.
That's it! You now have a simple working Sales Pipeline inside of Airtable.
